To: HELP MEMBERS and Your Families – Beware
This “special notice” is to urge you to beware of similar named organizations purporting to provide the same or similar H.E.L.P services or (free) benefits to Los Angeles County employees. H.E.L.P has no independent affiliates and is not associated any with other organization bearing the name or email address with a H.E.L.P. designation.
If you have been contacted recently by another organization by email or telephone purporting to be H.E.L.P – or has a name similar to H.E.L.P urging you to switch your benefits (under the guise of a prior affiliation with H.E.L.P) or payroll deductions, please immediately contact our organization (H.E.L.P) at 310-338-8155, or by email at: info@helplac.org
Be advised, H.E.L.P has not pre-authorized or approved any change in employee benefits, payroll deductions, products or services. H.E.L.P has been a “registered” organization with the County of Los Angeles for over twenty-five years (25) and has a “hold harmless: agreement with the County to ensure that your benefits are separate from the County.
H.E.L.P is in compliance with the Los Angeles County solicitation ordinance. Unlike other organizations, H.E.L.P is registered to represent employees in their employment relations with the County and provides important benefits, products, and services that are tailored to employees. Other organizations have not met the County’s strict registration requirements. H.E.L.P urges you to be careful and not be misled in making unauthorized changes.
